CPOF / TMC
Command Post of the Future (CPOF) Tactical Mission Command (TMC) – (Version BC09.0.4 & BC10.0.2) is an executive level decision support system that provides situational awareness and collaborative tools for a unified picture of the operational environment. By including real-time collaboration, integrated Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP), and MCS feeds, users can gain situational awareness from one system rather than several. CPOF is a planning and communication tool, which allows users to collaborate in near-real-time with real data, and improves the shared situational awareness (SA) throughout the command. CPOF provides commanders and staffs’ situational understanding by sharing ideas, experiences, and vision. This helps in applying analysis to the COP from multiple perspectives so that it more accurately reflects ground truth.
The Mission Command Systems - Support Team
Below is a brief description of the course we can provide.
- The CPOF Operator’s course is designed to teach new skills and bolster existing skills of the system users. This “hands-on” course is tasked based, with each block involving functions tied to the role of the specific MCS system and it is broken into three broad sections; communications, data management and mapping. The course can be taught at the MTC or training can be conducted at the unit’s local facility. The current training runs for two (2) days. Training conducted at the MTC consists of an eight (8)-person class with all necessary machines, software and documentation provided during the training.
